The AFROMY Nations Cup is an annual multicultural football tournament organized by AFROMY Sdn Bhd, bringing together diverse communities—primarily African and Asian, but open to all nationalities—for a celebration of sportsmanship, unity, cultural expression, and talent. It fosters friendship through competition and serves as a platform for young athletes, entrepreneurs, and cultural ambassadors to connect.

Q: Who organizes the tournament?
The event is professionally organized by AFROMY SDN BHD (Reg No: 1624395-W), a multidisciplinary business solutions firm based in Kuala Lumpur specializing in Afro-Asian market integration, supported by various community leaders, partners, and sponsors.

📝 REGISTRATION & ELIGIBILITY

Q: How do I register my team?
Visit our website and fill out the official team registration form. Once submitted, you will receive a payment link. Registration is only complete once full payment is made and confirmation received.

Q: Is there an age limit for players?
Players must be 18 years and above. All team members must present a valid government-issued ID or passport to confirm age and identity.

Q: Can anyone register a team?
Yes, but the tournament is designed for national or community-based teams. Each team should represent a recognized nationality or ethnic identity, and team names must reflect this. Mixed-nationality teams are discouraged unless agreed upon by the organizers in writing.

Q: What documents are required to play?
All players must submit:

• A valid ID or passport

• A signed player agreement and liability waiver

• A recent photo for digital team card

• Any documents requested by the organizing committee for verification

Q: Can players switch teams after registration?
No. Once a player is registered under a team and the group stage has begun, they cannot switch or join another team.

💰 PAYMENT POLICY

Q: What is the registration fee?
The fee is communicated during registration and may vary depending on when you register (early bird or general). It covers venue, referees, medics, security, tournament media, and promotional benefits for teams.

Q: Can we pay in installments?
No. Only full payment is accepted. Registration is not confirmed until full payment is received.

Q: Is the registration fee refundable?
🚫 Absolutely not. All payments are strictly non-refundable, including half or partial payments.
This policy is clearly outlined in our Non-Refundable Agreement and protects the integrity and planning of the event.

Q: What happens if our team withdraws or arrives late?
No refunds or replacements will be given. If your team fails to show up, your matches will be recorded as forfeits.

Q: When does the tournament officially begin?
The tournament kicks off only after all teams have completed payment and documentation. A revised schedule will be issued once all teams are confirmed.

📅 TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Q: How is the tournament structured?

• 16 teams, divided into 4 groups (A–D)

• Each team plays 3 matches in group stage

• Only the top team from each group advances to the semifinals

• Winners of the semifinals play in the grand final

• No quarterfinals or third-place match
  
  

Q: What is the match duration?
Each match is 80 minutes (2 x 40-minute halves) with a 10-minute halftime, totaling a 90-minute time slot.

Q: What is the schedule format?

• Matches are held on weekends only

• AM slot: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM

• PM slot: 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM

• 20-minute buffer between matches

Q: Is the event open to the public?
Yes! Families, friends, and fans are welcome. Spectator entry is free for general viewing areas. VIP access may require invitation or ticket.

Yes, our football weekends are festival-style events with food vendors, cultural booths, sponsor activations, music, and community showcases.

Q: Can I bring kids or pets?
Children are welcome. Pets are allowed depending on venue rules—please check the final venue guidelines for each matchday.

Select matches will be live-streamed or published as highlights via our official Instagram and YouTube channels. We also provide media access to approved creators and journalists.

Yes, for personal use. For commercial or promotional photography/videography, a Media Pass is required. Please email us to apply.

🏥 SAFETY, INSURANCE & FAIR PLAY

Yes. We have certified medics on-site during all matches. Teams are advised to bring their own first-aid kits for basic needs.

Q: Are players insured?
No. All players play at their own risk. We recommend personal injury coverage or sports insurance. All players must sign a waiver prior to participation.

Q: How are referees and match officials selected?
We work with experienced referees familiar with community football tournaments in Malaysia. All decisions made on the field are final.

Q: What happens if a player or team violates tournament rules?
Depending on the offense, consequences include yellow/red cards, suspension, disqualification, or permanent banning from future events.

⛅ WEATHER, POSTPONEMENTS & FORCE MAJEURE

Q: What if it rains or there’s extreme weather?
The tournament will proceed in light rain unless the field becomes unsafe. Severe weather may lead to postponement. Updates will be shared in real time.

Q: Will we be compensated if a match is rescheduled?
No refunds will be issued due to weather or rescheduling. We will do our best to accommodate all matches within a reasonable timeframe.
